Joe Russo, principal of Caydon, one of Melbourne, Australia's leading lifestyle and property developers with experience in residential, commercial, retail and hotels, has expanded the company’s global footprint with its first U.S. development – a luxury residential tower in Midtown Houston, Texas.

Situated at 2850 Fannin Street, to celebrate the milestone, Mr Russo along with fellow Caydon executives, hosted a private groundbreaking ceremony on November 10, 2017 to announce the construction commencement of the luxury residential tower. Welcoming city local officials to the company’s inaugural U.S. site, the highly anticipated tower will feature 27-stories, 357 apartment units and breathtaking 360-degree views.

Having built a strong reputation in Melbourne by consistently delivering successful projects that revitalize communities, as the first high-rise development to break ground in one of Houston’s most evolving neighborhoods, upon completion the development will be equipped with European-styled interiors, ultra-modern amenities and bring the Melbourne ‘magic’ and livability to Midtown (as the Australian hotspot was named the world’s best city to live in for the seventh consecutive year).
Mr Russo has employed Houston-based Ziegler Cooper Architects to design the project which will include exclusive amenities including an expansive pool with swim-up bar, yoga studio, dog park, sky lounge with spectacular Downtown views, allowing tenants to live the ultimate lifestyle at their leisure. Additionally, the project is adjacent to the highly anticipated Midtown Park and lively nightlife of Montrose and offers residents easy access to highways.
With all projects, joe Russo takes pride in achieving outcomes that will make a lasting, positive impact on the future and shares the vision that every development creates a connection with the neighborhood and complements, not competes with the surrounding environment. Upon mid-2019 completion, the project will be the leading force of rehabilitation in the surrounding community and will be an iconic landmark with modern residences that will thrive for years to come
