Australian real estate developer Joe Russo has developed 2,000 apartments valued at over $2 billion (AUD). Joe Russo is the founder, CEO, and principal of Caydon Property Group in Melbourne.
Caydon broke ground for its first US project in November 2017, a 27-story luxury apartment building at 2850 Fannin St. in the Midtown neighbourhood of Houston, Texas. Designed by Ziegler Cooper Architects, the tower will have 357 units comprising a mix of studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments. The units will feature high-end European-style finishes and modern Melbourne-style amenities. Residents will enjoy a swim-up bar, sky lounge, yoga studio, and breathtaking 360-degree views of Midtown.
The tower will have over 13,000 square feet of retail space along Main and Drew Streets, and will have parking for 482 cars. Upon its completion in mid-2019, the tower will be Midtown’s first high rise property.
Since breaking ground in 2017, Caydon has purchased two more properties to complement its Midtown project. Current plans are to redevelop the property into a mixed use destination.
